Abstract
The 3D compartment model POSEIDON-R was applied to the northwestern Pacific and adjcent ses to simulate the transport and fate of 90Sr in the period of 1945-2010 and to perform a radological assessment on the release of 90Sr after the Fukushima Dai-ichi accident (2011-2040). For the year 2011, the calculated individual dose rate for Fukushima Prefacture (except FDNPP vicinity) due to consumption of fishery products is an order less than the maximal dose rate caused by nuclear weapon in 1960.hima Dai-ichi accident (2011-2040). For the year 2011, the calculated individual dose rate for Fukushima Prefacture (except FDNPP vicinity) due to consumption of fishery products is an order less than the maximal dose rate caused by nuclear weapon in 1960.
