Abstract
Since 1940s, a lot of nuclear tests have been carried out in many countries. Thos tests, either in atmosphere or underwater, have contributed significantly to the radionuclide contamination to the world ocean. We present spatial distributions and temporal variation of the concentration of Cs137 in the world oceans by the radionuclide model. The vertical and horizontal distributions of the Cs137 in our model results agreee well with the observations. Our model results show that the concentration of Cs137 is higher in the Pacific Ocean than other oceans. And it is higher in the upper layer than in the deep layer.ons and temporal variation of the concentration of Cs137 in the world oceans by the radionuclide model.
