Abstract
In this talk we present a recent progress in developing a unified three-dimensional radionuclide transport model equipped with with multiple-scale circulation, wave and suspended sediment modules, taking into account the application to coastal waters with non-uniform distribution of suspended and bed sediments of both cohesive and non-cohesive types. Model of radionuclide dispersion was verified on measurements of 137Cs concentration in surface water and bed sediments after the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear accident. Preliminary application to the Yellow and East China Seas with a hypothetical release scenario are described.tal waters with non-uniform distribution of suspended and bed sediments of both cohesive and non-cohesive types.
