마산만 및 유입하천수에 함유된 지방물질의 조성

Abstract

Aliphatic hydrocarbon and fatty acid concentrations in sea/river water and bottom surface sediment were investigated to assess the distribution and sources of hydrocarbons in the Masan bay region. Sampling was made summer of 2001 periods. A large temporal and spatial variability were observed in the dissolved hydrocarbon concentrations in the region with maximum in the fall phytoplankton bloom period. The sources of dissolved hydrocarbons in seawater are phytoplanktons, terrestrial, and petroleum. The hydrocarbons in the bottom sediment of the Masan bay appears to be orignated from the petroleum. The total composition of hydrocarbons and fatty acid in seawater and bottom sediments were comparable to the other coastal waters in the world.
