dc.description.abstract The one-dimensional vertical (1DV) advection-diffusion equation was previously solved by the first author using a transformation of dependent variable and then applying the Galerkin Eigenfunction method. In this talk ana anlytical solution for the 1DV advection-diffusion equation of suspended sediment in a three-layered finite water depth is to be presented using a weighted residual method which is an extension of the Galerkin Eigenfunbction method used in spectral hydrodynamic models. -
