Abstract
- The Partnership for new GEOSS Applications (PANGEA, www.jcomm.info/pangea-concept) is a concept developed by the United Nations Joint World Meteorological Organization (WMO) ?Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC of UNESCO) Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology (JCOMM) with the goal to develop Resource-Sharing partnerships between developed and developing countries to implement the IOC-WMO-UNEP-ICSU Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) (Figure 1) and realize the socio-economic benefits of ocean observing systems at global and regional scales.SCO) Technical Commission for Oceanography and Marine Meteorology (JCOMM) with the goal to develop Resource-Sharing partnerships between developed and developing countries to implement the IOC-WMO-UNEP-ICSU Global Ocean Observing System (GOOS) (Figure 1) and realize the socio-economic benefits of ocean observing systems at global and regional scales.
