Abstract
Fungi isolated from marine environments have recently been recognized as a rich source of secondary metabolites. As part of our continuos study on marine microorganisms, we isolated two new compounds (1-2) and two known compounds, tanzawaic acids C (3) and D (4), from a marine-derived fungus Penicillium steckii 108YDC142 isolated from a marine sponge sample collected at Wangdolcho, East sea, Korea. Compounds (1-4) were purified by using an ODS column, preparative and analytical HPLCs. Their structures were elucidated by 1D, 2D NMR and LC-MS as well as literature data analysis. acids C (3) and D (4), from a marine-derived fungus Penicillium steckii 108YDC142 isolated from a marine sponge sample collected at Wangdolcho, East sea, Korea.
