dc.description.abstract | The purpose of this validation test is to study the evaluation methods of sounding and spatial resolution, and to test the comparative validity of the methods. Test was performed in water tank of Korea Hydrographic and Oceanographic Administration placed at Busan. The size of water tank is 50m in length, 15m in width and 5~10m in depth.. The MBES we evaluated were Delta-T(260kHz, 3°) of Imagenex, 2024(200 ~ 400 kHz, 0.5°) of R2Sonic and Seabat 7125(400 kHz, 0.5°) of Reson. First, to evaluate accuracy of a sounding the depth, we acquired data after setting a separation distance is 40m. Then we performed same way with changing separation distances - 30, 20, 10m. Next, spatial resolution is assessed via detection performance. After installing artificial structures (cube shape, 50cm×50cm×50cm), we recorded soundings. While testing, values of GPS, motion sensor and Sound velocity are treated as constant to only consider a performance of MBES.
