Analysis of research achievement based on researchers and field of research: Centered on the field of medicine and pharmacology

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the research achievements of university professors with regard to various attribute variables and interpret the results. An empirical analysis was conducted on professors teaching the field of medicine and pharmacology at the universities of Korea.To summarize the research findings, the human attributes, environmental attributes and funding attributes analyzed had a significant effect on their research achievements. Based on the research findings, the author posits two suggestions. First, support for the under-represented research groups affiliated with sex or age should increase.
