Abstract
Columns are the main members resisting axial force and lateral seismic force. Therefore, the behavior of a column has a significant effect on the whole structure. Recently, steel composite column is built in the field of architecture. Many of constructed composite column were concrete filled tube 9CFT). CFT has excellent performance againstseismic force. however, when applied to the pier of a bridfe, there is uneconomical or massive porblem because they should be fully filled with concrete. To overcome these disadvantages, hollw CFT columns were suggested. They are impossible to reduce design seismic force and self-weight of the column....Sructural trend analysis through comparing hollow CFT column. ANd present proportion of external confined stress and internal confined stress through selection of an important parameter by parametric study suggested an modified formular about yield failure condition and buckling failure condition used results.any of constructed composite column were concrete filled tube 9CFT).
