dc.description.abstract This paper describes the energy efficiency of buoyancy propulsion method of underwater glider, Marlin . Differently fromusual underwater vehicles, underwater gliders does not use thrusters, but use the force occurred as changing body volume. This researchshows the results of propulsion power efficiency of underwater glider Marlin using experimental efficiency equations of buoyancyengine and 6-degree of freedom dynamic motion simulation. We can find the benefits of underwater gliders on energy aspect as longrange observation platform comparing to other underwater vehicles.lume.
