dc.description.abstract In the following days after the Fukushima nuclear accident happen on March 11, 2011, significant amount of radioactive materials had been leaking into the terrestrial and marine environments. The radionuclide model was used to study the distribution of 137Cs in the Pacific and the Indian Ocean released from the Fukushima Dai-ichi accident. The simulation on the distribution of 137Cs agrees well with the observed profiles on Nov 8, 2011, which proved the validity of the model. Four or five years after the accident, the 137Cs reaches US coast with the surface waters of Pacific Ocean: its concentration is no higher than 3Bq/ton.tribution of 137Cs in the Pacific and the Indian Ocean released from the Fukushima Dai-ichi accident.
