Abstract
The discovery and development of new compounds for drugs from marine sources have been receiving significant attention. Especially, marine microbes are considered as a novel source of biologically active products. Although the marine microbes produce novel compounds with potent bioactivities, most of marine microbes are still undiscovered and understudied. The strain 1310CH-032 was isolated from mangrove in Chuuk island, Micronesia and was identified as Penicillium citrinum. From this strain, new compounds were isolated from the EtOAc extract of the culture broth (25L). The structures of the new compounds were determined by using MS and 2D NMR analyses.es produce novel compounds with potent bioactivities, most of marine microbes are still undiscovered and understudied.
