Abstract
- The principle is based on small entropy values of surface scattering from the open sea surface andlarge values from the dominant random system noise due to little backscatter from the smooth surface above underwater cultivation nets. The same principle can be applied to ship detection, since the entropy is large for multiple scattering from ships against small entropy of the background sea surface.same principle can be applied to ship detection, since the entropy is large for multiple scattering from ships against small entropy of the background sea surface.
