Abstract
We investigated bacterial species composition and compared community diversity in Montipora sp. collected from Palau, Taiwan, and Korea. The coral was collected from Koror in Palau and Green island in Taiwan and Jeju in Korea. To compare the community diversity we approached metagenomic analyses and OTU. As a result, Montipora sp. coral collected from Palau showed the highest diversity and coral collected from green island in Taiwan showed the lowest community diversity. According to the simpson and shannon analyses, the highest shannon index revealed in Palau samples and the lowest revealed in Taiwan samples. It means the Palau coral samples showed the highest diversity of bacterial species and also even distribution in bacterial community. Also according to the simpson index analyses, the highest simpson index revealed in Taiwan samples and the lowest revealed in Palau samples. it means Taiwan coral samples showed the high dominance value of several bacterial species and Palau coral samples showed the relatively low dominance value of several bacterial species comparing with total bacterial count. In further study, we are analyzing the difference of bacterial distribution in each area and investigating the unique bacterial community in each area.e community diversity we approached metagenomic analyses and OTU.
