Abstract
This study introduces the satellite detection of temporal and spatial changes of sea ice, especially the diurnal changes of sea ice distribution and sea ice drafts from January to March 2012 in the Korea Bay that forms the northeastern arm of the Yellow Sea between the Liaodong Peninsula, China, and western side North Korea. The sea ice extent and scattering properties for the study area was extracted using daily 8 times multispectral images data received from Geostationary Ocean Color Imager (GOCI), the first multispectral geostationary imager of the world targeting for ocean observation.of the Yellow Sea between the Liaodong Peninsula, China, and western side North Korea.
