Abstract
- Brewster angle damping is a well-known effect of null reflection of V (vertical)-polarization electromagnetic (EM) wave incident on a surface boundary of different dielectric constants. The effect was first observed in the visible band and also microwave band as multipath sea echo at grazing incidence by maritime radars and laboratory experiments. Pseudo-Brewster angle effect was also noted in the several synthetic aperture radar images of forests and vegetation. However, little direct evidence has been reported to show Brewster angle damping in SAR images.also microwave band as multipath sea echo at grazing incidence by maritime radars and laboratory experiments. Pseudo-Brewster angle effect was also noted in the several synthetic aperture radar images of forests and vegetation. However, little direct evidence has been reported to show Brewster angle damping in SAR images.
