dc.description.abstract Marine-derived microorganisms, especially marine fungi, are an interesting source for marine natural product researches. Moreover, many natural products from marine fungi were developed as medicines and are being studied to cure diverse diseases and infections. Especially, species of Aspergillus have been received significant attention since they produce unexpected and unusual chemical compounds with notable biological activities such as antibacterial, antifungal, antitumor, antiviral activities. The fungus 168CLC-47.2 was isolated from an unidentified soft coral, collected at Cu Lao Cham island, Quang Nam, Vietnam by modified Sabouraud medium and identified as Aspergillus chevalieri. From the strain, prenylated phenol derivates and prenylated indole diketopiperazine alkaloids were isolated from the EtOAc extract. Their structures were determined by MS, 1D and 2D NMR data analyses.eases and infections.
