Abstract
- A theory of multi aperture along-track interferometric synthetic aperture radar (MA-ATI SAR) was proposed to obtain velocity vector. The method requires only two antennas to estimate two velocity components by adopting multi-/sub-look processing. From the two velocity components, the angle of moving direction can be calculated. This paper shows the first analysis using airborne SAR data (PiSAR-2: Polarimetric interferometric SAR 2) as an application of MA-ATI SAR theory. MA-ATI SAR was applied for a scene of ships and it shows validation of this method. The estimated angles by MA-ATI were compared with the angles of moving ships. The results were in good agreement with those of ship moving directions.
