Maritime Robotics Test and Evaluation Center
해양로봇실증센터Pohang UTEC(Underwater robotics Test & Evaluation Center) has conducted and completed performance testing by developing underwater robots(URI-L, URI-T, and URI-R) with native Korean technologies, and has promoted the commercialization of underwater robots. In particular, we have a three-dimensional tank and water circulating tunnel. This facility includes specialized test types of equipment such as heavy cranes(5 and 30 tons), indoor location tracking system, and underwater particle image velocimetry(UW-PIV) system.
해양로봇실증단에서는 국내 기술로 3종의 수중로봇(URI-L, URI-T, URI-R)을 개발하여 성능검증을 마쳤으며, 수중건설로봇 분야의 상용화를 위한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 포항 수중로봇복합실증센터에서는 3차원 수조, 회류수조를 운영하고 있으며, 5톤과 30톤의 크레인, 실내 위치 추적 시스템, 그리고 수중잠항형 입자 영상유속계(PIV) 등이 있다.
