Abstract
- This paper introduces the design of a new transmission (Tx) antenna for an Electronic Article Surveillance (EAS) system aimed at maximizing tag detection from various directions. Traditionally, Tx antennas used in EAS systems are designed to generate magnetic fields in specific directions. However, the orientation of tags attached to items is difficult to predict accurately, leading to areas where tag detection does not occur. To address this issue, this study proposes an antenna that uses three Tx coils to apply signals of different phases, thereby creating a magnetic field distribution that varies over time
