dc.description.abstract This study aims to develop a methodology for selecting the most suitable areas for artificial reef deployment in coastal regions by analyzing the correlation between fishing ground environments and oceanic conditions. To achieve this, it is crucial to use real-time satellite image data and Geographic Information System (GIS)-based information, including water depth and the classification of surface materials such as rock, gravel, sand, silt, and clay. The study considers factors influencing artificial reef facility growth (e.g., sea temperature, salinity, hydrodynamics, turbidity, and chlorophyll-a) and the surrounding environmental conditions (e.g., bottom dissolved oxygen, total organic carbon, sediment acid volatile sulfide, and benthic diversity). The research emphasizes submarine geological conditions, critical elements in selecting suitable sites for artificial reefs. By assigning weighted scores to various environmental factors and analyzing spatial data, the methodology identifies optimal locations for artificial reef deployment. The results demonstrate that this approach, utilizing satellite remote sensing and GIS, enhances the management of artificial reef installations. The study provides a comprehensive and efficient tool for selecting and monitoring artificial reef sites by analyzing and visualizing spatial data. This methodology facilitates better environmental management and supports the sustainable development of coastal fishing grounds. -
