Abstract
- This work is about observation of GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) on research vessel in transit for
research that may occur in the future.
KIOST research vessel ISABU ran total 59,502 Lkm with project-independent GNSS receiver in 2022.
Continuous GNSS logged data(30s epoch) will be validation source of diversity research area. The GNSS
receiver is a POLARX5 with Septentrio, Antenna is the AT1675 model of Aeroantenna Technology Inc. For
getting precise 3D GNSS solution, I used post-processing GNSS data, that is PPP(Precise Point Positioning)
method by CSSR on-line service of Natural Resources Canada Government of Canada. For examples, I
show published research article w.r.t Metocean data validation. also suggest our latest investigation plan for
exploration unknown seabed features using precise ellipsoidal height.
