Abstract
- I models are used to produce a database of tidal constituents for the Yellow and East China Seas. The traditional FDM-based model allows easy setup and operation. Despite the difficulty of constructing the mesh system, the FEM-based model offers advantages for resolving the complicated coastline and for considering bathymetric shape. We developed and demonstrated a compact GUI prediction system based on the POL DLL (dynamic link library) with database of tidal constituents derived from numerical simulation on real time. This system could apply hydrographic survey for correct the sea level, also determine the tidal datum around Yellow and East China Seas.
