- 전지구적인 온도변화와 해수면 변화의 과학적인 증거들을 고찰하였고 한반도 주변해역에서 이전에 수행된 수온과 해수면 변화에 대한 연구결과들을 검토하였다. 아직까지 한반도 주변해역에서 온난화 검출을 위한 장기관측자료의 발굴 및 분석이 미흡한 수준이다.
