dc.description.abstract Surface sediments collected from 25 locations in Kyeonggi Bay, Komso Bay and Masan Bay were analyzed for organochlorine pesticides(tHCHs and tDDTs) and tPCBs to characterize their spatial distribution and contamination status. Concentration of tPCBs were in the range 0.13-4.46, 0.35-18.46ng/g d.w. respectively in Kyeonggi Bay and Masan Bay. Tetra, Penta, Hexa-CB were the dominant PCB congeners in Kyeonggi Bay. Concentrations of tDDTs in the sediments ranged from <0.01 to 8.58ng/g d.w. in Kyeonggi Bay and from 0.28 to 2.84ng/g d.w. in Masan Bay. In all study areas p.p'-DDE dominates among DDT isomers. -
