Abstract
- From the echo facies of the Yellow Sea we interpreted the depositional environments, procedded, and sediment fairways accoeding to acoustic characters. Depositional environments of the uellow Sea interpreted from Chirp high-resolution seismic profiles are divided into five distinctive zones from east to west.:1) tidal sand ridges and sand waves offshore and nearshore of the Korean Peninsula, 2)linear mud belt of the southwestern part of the Korea, 3) erosional and mixing zones in the central Yellow Sea, 4) subaqueous delta system near the Shandong Peninsula and Yantz River, and 5) basement outcrop, continental shelf valley and terrace cliff in the southeastern Yellow Sea.
