- Abstract
- Three new cytotoxic sesterterpenes were isolated from a marine sponge, and their structures were determined on the basis of spectroscopic data. Together with these main compounds, we also isolated two new and putative biosynthetic precursors of these compounds. These sesterterpenes exhibited strong cytotoxic activity against human leukemia cell line (K-562) with IC50 values of 0.02 - 15 g/ml.
