| dc.description.abstract | As part of our program to study on bioactive marine natural products, we have found that extracts of the ascidian Didemnum sp. exhibited cytotoxic activity against human leukemia cell line(K562). Bioassay-guided fractionation of the extracts yielded new polyhydroxylated steroids. We herein report the isolation and structure determination of two new sulfated streroids, 1 and 2. These compounds exhibited cytotoxicity against human leukemia cell line (K-562). | - |
