Abstract
- Generic difference of bacterial isolates from tropical ocean sponges and temperate ocean sponges were compared. Comparison of 16S rRNA gene sequences revealed that significant difference was observed, but the difference occurred due to differences of environmental condition and/or sponge species is unclear. It is also evident that sponge-associated bacteria are one of valuable bio-resources and a reservoir of novel microorganisms as promising candidate for novel bioactive compounds.
