Abstract
The Shinorine, mycosporine-like amino acid (MAA), extracted from harvested Chlamydomonas hedlyei biomass was evaluated for the photoresponse with arrays of silicon nanowire field-effect transistor (SiNW-FET) devices. Upon illumination a considerable enhancement in the photocurrent is observed. Moreover, the SiNW FET optical response can be easily altered by utilizing MAAs. This study reports a platform technology for the development of novel nano-opto-electrical bio-devices.siderable enhancement in the photocurrent is observed. Moreover, the SiNW FET optical response can be easily altered by utilizing MAAs. This study reports a platform technology for the development of novel nano-opto-electrical bio-devices.
