dc.description.abstract The accuracy of inundation prediction and hazard map depends on how accurate the model results are and it’s determined by resolution and accuracy of topographic and bathymetric input information among many other elements. We have done LiDAR and multibeam bathymetric surveying at spring low tide and high tide respectively to acquire data. Study area is Manlipo beach of Korea which has approximately 1.8km stretch of costal line and 300m width located on the western coast. The DEM from coastal mapping is generated by a series of more than 4 processes according to the properties or attributes of data based on GIS: preprocessing of acquisition data, geo-positioning/geo-referencing, integration, Terrain/TIN construction, interpolation, generation DEM.Furthermore, for the purpose of identification about beach process, we can also facilitate the geospatial analysis to the beach’s topographic change (erosion or deposition) comparing the cyclic LiDAR and Multibeam survey’s topographic and bathymetric coastal mapped DEM dataset. -
