Earlier work of Choi (1980, KORDI report 80-02) is continued to apply for realtime tide prediction over the Yellow Sea. The model is designed to incorporate meteorological forcing with daily forecast and typhoon and winter monsoon. One minute bathymetry, SKKU1min developed from digitizing various sources, notably about 100 Chinese charts, KIGAM shelf studies depths, Coastal Sea basic maps from MLTM, were used along with open boundary specification taking NAO's tidal predictions. After short test run, the model is now being run for 19 years, Moon's full syndic period to have first estimates of HAT for IHO recommended coastline for coastal flooding and LAT for seamless LAT description for IHO chart datum recommendation for coastal and offshore operation. Comparison with US Navy's compacted PCTides will be made and preliminary results will be distributed for further improvement to interesting parties for field use. Direct shelf tidal measurements from NORI is being planned and open boundary improvement can be also performed in the successive versions.
