Abstract
- From a sediment sample collected from Ieodo, Koreas's southern reef, a marine bacterium designated as 09ID194 was isolated by serial dilution technique. This strain was mass cultured in Bennett's medium. Macrolactins were isolated from the ethyl acetate extract of the culture broth by chromatographic technique. The structures of the macrolactins were determined b extensive 1D and 2D NMR spectra analysis
