dc.description.abstract | Typhoon-induced storm surge, waves, andcoastal inundation in the western and southerncoast of Korea region are simulated using finemesh unstructured grid model FVCOM(anunstructured-grid Finite-Volume Coastal OceanModel) coupled to a coastal wave model SWAN.The reanalysis 10-m wind and air pressure data areproduced by WRF and a relatively simpleanalytical wind model are used on Typhoon wind.The wave-current couple procedure includes depthdependent wave radiation stress terms, Stokes drift,vertical transfer of wave-generated pressuretransfer to the mean momentum equation, wavedissipation as a source term in the turbulencekinetic energy equation, and mean currentadvection and refraction of wave energy. | - |
