Abstract
- COMS(Communication Ocean Meteorological Satellite) was launched on 26th of June, 2010, from the Guiana Space Center. This satellite has the core payload, GOCI which is the worlds first ocean observation geostationary satellite, to observe ocean color. GOCI includes the eight bands, 0.5km pixel resolution, and a coverage region of 2500 x 2500km centered at 36N and 130E and divided by 16 slots. When each slot is observed by 8 bands, nominal slot sequence starts and ends with a dark image acquisition without using a band. This is to monitor and calibrate variation characteristics of radiometric performance for sensor during an image is acquired through 8 bands. In this paper, characteristics of radiometric performance are showed by analyzing its variation during In-orbit test and comparing with test results before the satellite launch.
