Abstract
This study estimated Moho undulation using gravity modeling from gravity data and topography data. The study area include yellow sea, eastern China and Korean Peninsula. Gravity data obtained 20 km altitude used from EGM2008 Free-air gravity anomalies and topography data of ETOPO1 model with one-arc minute interval data of global terrain elevation and ocean floor bathymetry. We calculated Terrain Gravity Effect(TGE) from Gauss-Legendre quadrature method that used Digital Elevation Model(DEM) by regridding 10 km interval using the prism shape. Terrain gravity effect correlated with Free-Air Gravity Anomaly(FAGA) by Wavenumber Correlation Analysis(WCA) for extracting Terrain Correlated Free-Air Gravity Anomaly(TCFAGA) and making Compensated Terrain Gravity Effect(CTGE). Finally, we estimated the Moho depth that derived gravity modeling using iterative method from compensated terrain gravity effect and the seismic result of Yoo(2009). Yoo(2009) shows Moho depth data at the coast of South Korea and China from seismic wave receiver function analysis. We will consider the tectonic relationship between the yellow sea and neighboring lands from Moho depth result by a comprehensive modeling of geophysical data.
