Abstract
Plating 210Po onto silver planchet with constant stirring for 15 hours at room temperature after preconcentrating it from seawater samples with Mn rather than Fe widely used currently was found to be the most preferred method for ordinary marine laboratory to achieve about 97% of its recovery with 3% or less precision. The removal of foreign ions presents in seawater from the resulting solution after Mn coprecipitation was found to be not necessary other than ascorbic acid masking.ry marine laboratory to achieve about 97% of its recovery with 3% or less precision.
