dc.description.abstract In the present article, we introduce our system on the production design of high-resolution sea surface temperature (SST) using all available infrared sensors such as AVHRR (Advanced Very High Resolution Radiometer)/NOAA, MODIS(Moderate Resolution Imaging Spectro-radiometer), MTSAT (Multifunctional Transport Satellite) and MI (Meteorological Imager)/COMS and practical measurements from buoys. The SST data generated by the system are individual images with reliability levels, about 8-hour merged products and daily composite image with a 1-km resolution. For SST validation and its quality control, in-situ temperature data are gathered from ocean buoy and compared with SST in near real-time for the area around the Korean Peninsula.
