Abstract
- In this study aim to understand phytoplankton biomass and environmental factors at inner and outer sites in Incheon port, Korea. Based on the ANOVA, temperature, salinity, DO, TSS and silicate were significantly differences (p<0.05) during the study periods. Mean water temperature varied from a minimum of 1.97°C during the winter season to a maximum 28.15°C during the summer season. At I-S were showed high temperature all seasons, excepted in winter. The salinity of I-S ranged from 26.45 to 31.39 psu with significant seasonal differences. At IP (mean 27.16) and OP (mean 26.14) were showed less than 28 psu in summer. DO concentration appeared to be high concentration at OP during the study periods. pH showed high value in spring (mean 9.01), and decreased in summer (mean 7.85). COD ranged from 0.56 to 38.59 mg L-1 at study sites. Also, it showed not significant seasonal changes. TSS showed similar concentration between IP(mean46.49) and OP (mean49.41mgL-1) in summer. But, other seasons showed over 1.5 times concentration at OP. Range of maximum and minimum concentrations of DIN (nitrate, nitrite and ammonia), phosphate and silicates were 2.40-12.15 μM, 0.05-0.25 μM and 0.08-3.25 μM, respectively. Phosphate showed high concentration at IP all seasons. Mean phosphates concentrations varied from 1.01 μM in spring to 1.60 μM at IP in autumn. A silicate showed increasing concentration during the study periods. Phosphate showed high concentration at IP all seasons. Mean phosphates concentrations varied from 1.01 μM in spring to 1.60 μM at IP in autumn.
