Abstract
- As marine environmental conditions are extremely different from terrestrial ones, marine microorganisms have different characteristics from those of terrestrial counterparts and, therefore, might produce different types of compounds in challenging living conditions. As a part of our ongoing search for secondary metabolites, we isolated several piericidin derivatives from a marine derived actinomycete streptomyces sp. 133VN028 isolated from a sediment sample collected in Vietnam. The structures were determined on the basis of their spectroscopic data and mass spectroscopy. challenging living conditions.
