Abstract
The sun interference can cause some transient communication problem between geostationary satellite and ground station. This paper discusses about the impact of the sun interference on the Geostationry Ocean Color Imager(GOCI) image data reception failure which occurred in the Korea Ocean Satellite Center(KOSC) of Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology(KIOST). The measured RF signal characteristics for the GOCI image data reception is analyzed by comparing with the theoretical prediction of the Carrier to Noise Ratio(C/N).ception failure which occurred in the Korea Ocean Satellite Center(KOSC) of Korea Institute of Ocean Science & Technology(KIOST).
