dc.description.abstract In this study, we have estimated the monthly variation and pattern of residual currents and waves using long-term observed current and wave data measured by bottom mounted AWACs. This measured hydrodynamic data will be used for the validation of operational coastal modeling system for the prediction of hydrodynamics and sediment transport in Haeundae coastal waters for supporting the development of coastal erosion control system. In addition, a variety of beach restoration projects conducted by beach nourishment and construction of submerged breakwaters near the each side of the beach will be supported by this study conducting analysis of long-term observed wave and current data. The seasonal variation of sand budget on the beach and bottom sediment budget of sub-tidal area will be analyzed with measured data by RTK-GPS and Multi-beam echo-sounder.
