Abstract
Treatability of heavy meatls in contaminated marine sediments combined with particleseparation and washing technologies was investigated in order to solve the scarcity ofdomestic remediation technologies. Sediments were collected at N area which is expecting forremediation project and used as sample. Based on the experimental results, optimaltreatability was found at the conditions of 5M H2O2 as oxidant and Tween 80 as surfactant(Cr 0.6~25.3%, Ni 21.8~43.8%, Cu 16.2~38.4%, Zn 41.8~56.5%, Cd 55.5~86.3% at >63μm, >32μmand <32μm fraction, Pb 4.2~21.7% at >63μm fraction). Especially, the bio-available fraction ofNi, Cu, Zn, Cd, Pb could be well removed by the process in this research. Conclusively,treated sediments were lower than domestic remediation standards and also suitable fornational soil environmental standards. Thus treated sediments followed by the process mightbe beneficially used for various purposes such as reclamation materials, et cetera.rea which is expecting forremediation project and used as sample.
