Abstract
- From these findings, we are currently designing bench scale pilot system to develop acommercial system to be used in harbors around the nation. Based of this research, theefficiency of the chemical oxidation enhanced by surfactant of PCBs in marine sediment, including the properties of the specific PCBs. PCBs removal efficiency in contaminatedmarine sediment with Fenton oxidation with 15% H2O2 was effective oxidizer forremove organic contaminants in sediment. The most efficient treatment solution fordestruction of PCBs in marine sediments was 15% H2O2 + 0.05% Tween 80 solutionsduring the treatment time.Bs in marine sediment, including the properties of the specific PCBs.
