The Ieodo Ocean Research Station located at has environmental and meanings. From 2003, the sea temperature has been measured from the mooring. This study aims to analyse the spatial pattern of SST in the waters around the station in 2013 using the station temperature and the Korea Operational Oceanographic System (KOOS) SST data. As a geostatistical analysis method, the semivariogram between in-situ and satellite SST data is used to investigate monthly patterns for each direction. For the direction of East, North-East and South-East direction, the semivariance value is increased greatly depending on the distance from the Ieodo Station. In January 2013, the semivariance value is increased greater than other months for all directions. From May to July, the difference value between field and satellite SST value is greater than difference value according to distance. For analysis between point in-situ data and raster satellite data, it is necessary to understand spatial pattern for various directions and months. In further study, the autocorrelation between buoy and satellite SST data will be analyzed about the Ieodo Ocean Research Station.ing the station temperature and the Korea Operational Oceanographic System (KOOS) SST data.
