- Abstract
- Gilvimarinus agarilyticus JEA5, which effectively degrades agar, was isolated from the seawater of Jeju Island, Republic of Korea. Here, we report the draft genome sequence of G. agarilyticus JEA5 with a total genome size of 4,179,438 bp from 2 scaffolds (21 contigs) with 53.15% G + C content. Various polysaccharidases including 11 predicted agarases were observed from the draft genome of G. agarilyticus JEA5. (C) 2015 Elsevier B.V. All rights reserved.
