dc.description.abstract The Ieodo Ocean Research Station located at Korea’s territorial line in the East China Sea has environmental and strategic meanings. From 2003, the sea surface temperature of one point has been measured from the buoy located in the Ieodo Station. This study aims to analyze the spatio-temporal relationship between satellite and in-situ SST data. Additionally, this study suggests the semivariogram algorithm considered with the directionality and monthly variations in 2013. For spatial analysis, the 1km Korea Operational Oceanographic System (KOOS) SST data are used in this study. As geostatistical analysis method, the semivariogram of buoy data and satellite SST data are applied in this study. As increasing of distance between buoy and pixels of SST data, the semivariance value of SST is also increased by a Dose-response curve shape. The semivariograms are different from the directionality and month. For east, north-east, and south-east direction, the semivariograms show larger variation according to distance. For all directions, the semivariance value in January and February 2013 increased according by increasing the distance. The semivariograms in September are seen less variations. In further study, the autocorrelation between buoy and satellite SST data will be analyzed about the Ieodo Ocean Research Station.tation.
