Abstract
- Flavobacteriales bacterium strain UJ101 was isolated from a xanthid crab shell collected from East Sea of Korea. The complete genome of strain UJ101 is 3,074,209 base pairs in length, the GC content was 30.74%, and contains 2,698 ORFs with 46 tRNAs and 9 rRNAs genes. According to the annotated list of genes Embden– Meyerhof and pentose phosphate pathway is well conserved, but key enzymes of Entner-Douddoroff pathway were impared. TCA and glyoxylate cycle were conserved. UJ101 encodes degradation enzyme including 8 glycosyl transferases, 3 amylases, and 8 peptidases. Biosynthetic enzymes for lysine, tryptophan, phenylalanine, and yrosine were also impaired. Alcohol and/or organic acid fermentation could not be expected. Strain UJ101 was compared with bacterial genomes isolated from other marine animals and related genomes from seawater and marine sediments.46 tRNAs and 9 rRNAs genes.
