Abstract
- : Regeneration of sea areas for sustainable development of coastal areas is mainly focused in this research for future actual projects in Korea. Regeneration of sea areas have been going on for a few decades in various nations such as USA, UK, Europe, Hong Kong and Japan. Although coastal areas have been being developed for mainly space using purpose in Korea, numerous problems such as a simple function of coastal areas due to inadequate management, limit of using purpose, environmental pollution, lake of space, influence of marine ecosystem, coastal erosion and other problems are needed to solve urgently. Both development of sea areas and environmental management should have to conduct to solve the problems on the basis of same priority. 2 kinds of technologies which are space creation technologies and environmental management technologies should have to develop for this new approach. Development, environmental management, economic progress and optimization of usability at sea areas may conduct throughout this new approach.UK, Europe, Hong Kong and Japan.
